Trichostrongylus sp.- 1st stage larvae from agar plate culture of goat faeces from farm where human also infected - long buccal cavity like Hookworm L1 but with beadlike swelling on caudal tip. Human Trichostrongyliasis is not reported often; people present with eosinophilia , either with no abdominal symptoms or with mild discomfort and diarrhoea. Infection occurs following ingestion of unwashed vegetables contaminated with goat or horse manure. see Boreham RE. et al. 1995. Pathology. 27:182-185.
